BACCF President's Message
June 2026
Dear Members & Friends,
As we reach the end of the second quarter of 2026, I want to thank you for your continued trust and engagement. The first half of the year has been busy and rewarding, with signature events, important conversations and the tremendous success of the first round of our 2026 BACCF Roadshow in Brazil.
Roadshow: Building Bridges Across Brazil
Our 2026 Roadshow started with a multi‑city mission covering Florianópolis, Belo Horizonte, Muriaé, Balneário Camboriú, Maringá and Londrina. The program brings together panels on immigration, corporate structure, taxation, cultural differences and financial solutions to prepare entrepreneurs for entering the U.S. market. Speakers such as Carlos Mariaca (Center Group), Luiz Flávio Paina Resende Alves (Piquet Law Firm), and Bruno Junqueira (Inter) shared case studies and answered questions. Coordinating a Roadshow with so many cities is complex, yet the mission we began twenty‑two years ago—to assist Brazilian companies in expanding to Florida—remains at the heart of our work.
Key Events in Q1 & Q2
We were fortunate to host a variety of programs in the first half of the year. Highlights include:
- Annual Feijoada – This first major event of the year welcomed members for an afternoon of authentic Brazilian cuisine, caipirinhas and networking.
- Open Mic – Membership Virtual Networking (February & April) – Our recurring virtual networking sessions are open to members and future members. Participants receive a one‑minute spotlight to introduce their companies and share slides, making this format a popular and efficient way to build relationships across our community.
- Brazil–U.S. Economic Perspectives – Co‑hosted with Carlton Fields, this breakfast seminar brought together business leaders for a high‑level discussion on the economic forces shaping trade and investment between Brazil and the United States. Distinguished speakers Rafaela Vitoria, Chief Economist & Head of Market Relations at Inter US, and Luis G. Ferreira, Chief Investment Officer and Deputy CEO (Americas) at EFG International, shared thoughtful and forward‑looking macroeconomic insights. Kate Ferreira of Grant Thornton skillfully moderated the conversation, and the session underscored the importance of informed dialogue and cross‑border collaboration.
- Business Roundtable with the Federal Reserve – Miami Branch – An exclusive session where members discussed interest‑rate trends and inflation directly with Federal Reserve officials. The dialogue offered critical insights to help companies plan for shifting macro‑economic conditions.
- Business Card Exchange & Happy Hour – Informal receptions at Drakes and Ironside helped connect new members with long‑time supporters in a relaxed atmosphere.
- Farewell Reception in honor of Ambassador André Odenbreit Carvalho – Together with the CCBU – Centro Cultural Brasil‑USA and Carlton Fields, we hosted a special reception at Carlton Fields’ Miami office to bid farewell to Ambassador André Odenbreit Carvalho and Ambassadress Gilda Araujo de Souza. The evening brought together members, friends and other dignitaries to extend our gratitude.
- Music Industry Panel – “From Stage to Strategy: How Music Drives Innovation, Branding & Business” – This panel explored how music fuels innovation, branding and global markets. Special guest Jair Oliveira joined panelists Ella Romand, Maria Fulfaro, Gene de Souza and Thiago Machado for a lively discussion.

Staying Engaged
Our Chamber thrives on member participation and operates an open‑door policy—we welcome your ideas and involvement at any time. You get out of the BACCF what you put in, so if you want to make a difference, join a committee meeting, volunteer at an event, contribute to our podcast series or suggest a new program. We are here to listen and connect you. As Henry Kissinger once remarked, “the interdependence of nations—the indivisibility of our security and our prosperity—can accelerate our common progress or our common decline”. Let’s accelerate progress together by keeping conversations open and collaboration strong.
Thank you for being part of the BACCF. We look forward to seeing you at our events and working side by side to build a stronger Brazil–Florida business community.
With appreciation,
Marson Cunha
BACCF 2026 President
