BACCF News - President's Message

October 20, 2026

Dear Members and Friends,

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust.

Benjamin Franklin wrote, “Well done is better than well said.” For our Chamber, that means helping members do business, sharing practical knowledge and making connections that can lead to opportunities.
Over the past few months, our Roadshow, Seminar and Independence Gala have carried that work forward. As we celebrate 45 years of the BACCF, we have much to be grateful for and a responsibility to keep opening doors.

Roadshow and Seminar

This year, our Roadshow reached 12 cities across Brazil in two rounds. These programs bring practical guidance closer to entrepreneurs and executives considering the American market, covering business structures, taxation, immigration and financial solutions. They also introduce participants to professionals and institutions that can help them move forward. My thanks to our speakers and local partners for extending the Chamber’s reach and keeping this work moving.

On September 23–25, that effort continued in Miami with the 22nd edition of our Seminar, “How to Do Business and Invest in the U.S.” Participants explored the decisions involved in entering and operating in the American market, with opportunities to ask questions, exchange experiences and build relationships.

Thank you to Carlos Mariaca for his continued leadership, to our speakers for sharing their knowledge, and to Carlton Fields, Aon and our supporting partners. Together, these programs help participants better understand their options and prepare for the next stage of their businesses.

An evening to celebrate our community

Our September 12 Independence Gala brought members, business leaders, partners and friends together for a sold-out evening celebrating Brazil’s Independence and the BACCF’s 45th anniversary.

We were honored to welcome City of Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez, Rey Anthony representing Congressman Carlos Gimenez, and staff from Senator Ashley Moody’s office. The recognitions received from the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County and Congressman Gimenez honored the Chamber’s longstanding contributions to our business community.

My sincere thanks to BB Americas Bank, our Diamond Sponsor; Embraer, our Platinum Sponsor; Inter, Azul and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, our Gold Sponsors; Marilyn Blanco-Reyes and Guilherme Gatti, our Silver Sponsors; and AbitOs, our Brigadeiros Table Sponsor. To all our sponsors and supporters, thank you for making this memorable evening possible.

For me, recognizing our past presidents was especially meaningful. Every one of us who serves today stands on foundations we did not build alone. Their dedication, alongside the commitment of our members, has helped this Chamber grow and remain relevant through 45 years of change.

Keeping the doors open

Our members give this work its direction. Bring us your ideas for programs, introduce a colleague to the Chamber, join a committee or share an opportunity that could benefit our community. Your participation helps determine where we go next.

Even though we’ve had a very active and successful year, it’s not over yet. We still have upcoming events ahead and will continue keeping our members informed and engaged.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and Advisory Council, thank you to our members, partners and Chamber team for your continued commitment. Serving this community is a privilege. I am grateful for your trust and proud of what we continue to build together.

With appreciation,

Marson Cunha
